Overview & History
Yinchuan University of Energy, a privately-funded institution, was founded in 1999 by BaoTa Petrochemical Group and approved by the Ministry of Education. Initially named Yinchuan University, it was renamed Yinchuan Vocational College of Science and Technology in 2004 by the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Government. In 2012, it was upgraded to an undergraduate university with its current name, and in 2016, it gained the right to confer bachelor’s degrees. Since 2019, it has been part of the Sichuan Hope Education Industry Group. Guided by its motto, “Cultivate Virtue, Think Critically; Seek Truth, Act Decisively,” the university is dedicated to serving regional development, fostering talent, and building a strong application-oriented institution with distinctive industry characteristics.
