New Route to Qualification as a Solicitor

The way you qualify as a solicitor changed in September 2021. Aspiring solicitors are now required by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) to sit the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) in order to qualify. Luckily, we have a range of courses available to prepare you for SQE success, as well as your future career as a solicitor.

Luckily, we have a range of courses available to prepare you for SQE success, as well as your future career as a solicitor.

Already know you want to be a solicitor?

Take the most direct route to qualify with our Integrated Master’s – the MLaw (Solicitors’ Practice). Over four years you’ll study our practically focused LLB Law content alongside our professional SQE1 and SQE2 preparation modules. During Year 4, you’ll sit the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) and will only need to fulfil the Qualifying Work Experience requirement on graduation to qualify as a solicitor.

Keeping your options open?

Choose from one of our popular practical LLBs, where you’ll have the option to study modules which will prepare you for the academic content of Functioning Legal Knowledge for the SQE assessment.
