About Ukraine?

Ukraine is situated in Eastern Europe with border with Russia, Belarus, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Moldova. It is the second largest country in Europe after Russia and 46th largest country in the world. Ukraine has an area of 233,062 sq mi with a population of 42 million. Kiev is the capital of Ukraine and Cyrillic is the official language of Ukraine. 

After the World War II Ukraine become a part of Soviet Union but after the end of cold war it gain its independence in 1991. Ukraine is a developing country and member of UN, Council of Europe, Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe and Commonwealth of Independent State. Due to extensive fertile farmlands, Ukraine is one of the world’s largest grain exporters.
