About Avicenna International College
Overview & History
Avicenna International College (AIC) was founded in 1995 in Budapest, Hungary, initially offering short courses for medical students at Semmelweis University. Soon after, it introduced the Avicenna Medical Foundation Program (AMFP), a one-year pre-university course designed for students pursuing medical studies in Hungary and across Europe. Graduates of AMFP have progressed to top universities in Hungary, Italy, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Lithuania, Latvia, the UK, Serbia, and Russia.
Over the years, AIC expanded its academic portfolio to include the Business Foundation Program (BFP), English Foundation Program (EFP), German Foundation Program (GFP), as well as IELTS and BMAT preparatory courses. Since 2020, AIC has also offered NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY) qualifications. AIC is accredited as a bi-lingual high school, granting the Hungarian Érettségi diploma, alongside IGCSE, A-Level, and IB Diploma (IBDP) pathways. With modern facilities, multicultural engagement, and strong university partnerships, AIC provides students with globally recognized education and opportunities.
