About Alexander College
Overview & History
Alexander College was founded in 1991 in Larnaca, initially as an educational institute with a specialized focus on providing vocational education for the design and print industry. Its first cohorts of students graduated with Higher Diplomas awarded by BTEC, a prestigious UK degree-awarding body. Over the next decade, the college expanded its vision in response to technological advancements and the growing demand for international education, shifting its focus to offer franchised undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs from accredited UK universities. This strategic move allowed students to obtain a UK degree without leaving Cyprus.
By 2001, Alexander College had established formal partnerships with several UK universities, introducing popular programs in Law, Business, and Design. The college’s reputation for academic quality and student support led to its expansion to a second campus in Paphos, making its programs accessible to students across the island. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus, the college has maintained a consistent focus on high graduate employability, equipping students with specialist skills valued by employers globally. Today, Alexander College hosts a vibrant international community with students from over 50 countries and six continents, creating a truly multicultural learning environment. Its academic focus remains on providing flexible, career-driven programs with a strong emphasis on innovation, research, and modern teaching methodologies.
